FRAME DRUMMIMG FOR WOMEN
Frame drums are ancient instruments, likely created by women who were the primary players. They are found in different forms in many countries and cultures. Frame drumming is meditative, joyful, and health-promoting!
Teacher Amy Antonucci has been playing frame drums since 1999. She studied with Layne Redmond, Glen Velez and Marla Leigh Goldstein and performed locally with Tabbalat. She loves to share the beauty and joy of these fabulous instruments!
Amy offers a winter beginners series, then has ongoing classes for her intermediate students.
In the beginners classes, you will learn strokes, basic techniques, and traditional Middle Eastern rhythms on the North African Tar. No experience needed; drums available to use at class or buy.
