Jeanne

Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor
Jeanne Russell is a registered teacher through the Yoga Alliance (R.Y.T.) and has been teaching yoga to adults and children since 1989. She is certified through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She received her 200 and 500-hour professional level training certificate and has completed Chakra Yoga training. She has trained with Sara Meeks in the Meeks Method of safe skeletal health and attended Duke University for Therapuetic Yoga for Seniors.
Jeanne believes in a safe and gentle approach to teaching that is aimed towards meeting the individual needs of all students from beginner to experienced. Students are encouraged and guided to be with the postures at their own pace, respecting their needs at each moment.
She is also the director of Music Together of Portsmouth and Kittery  has been teaching the program since 1998. Jeanne has been singing and dancing with children since 1977 and is an experienced preschool educator. Jeanne also offers community outreach programs and teacher workshops in area schools. Amy
Amy Antonucci began her journey with Sacred Circle Dance in Mexico in 1996. She has been teaching dances in the Seacoast NH/ME area since 2000 in various settings. Amy strives to bring the beauty and joy of the dance to everyone who attends the circles.

Beth

Beth is certified as a yoga instructor by the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. She is also a certified Integrative yoga therapist. Beth has served on the volunteer program staff and as a guest teacher at the Kripalu Center.

Madeline Gielow
Madeline Gielow is an artist and expressive arts therapist who has always believed in the healing power of the arts. Primarily a visual artist, Madeline began to explore conscious dance practices a number of years ago, and found that only through dance could she truly get out of her mind, into her body, and feel energized, clear, and joyful. Over a number of years Madeline danced and explored several different conscious dance practices, and found dance seeping in to the work she was doing with others, people with and without disabilities, of all ages, shapes and sizes. Motivated by the need to have more dance in her own life, and passionately believing that others also needed and would greatly benefit from this practice, Madeline decided to train as a JourneyDance Guide and is thrilled to be able to share with others this life affirming, transformative, and fun dance practice.
 
 
Why Journey Dance
 
After dancing and experimenting with a number of different conscious dance practices I found that I felt most at home with JourneyDance.  The flow of the dance makes an innate sense to me, and I love the mix of music typically found within each JourneyDance class. Most essentially, though, it was JourneyDance’s ability to move me to joy, regardless of where I was when I walked in to the room. I believe this is nothing short of magic, the way that this inspiring, playful and exhilarating movement experience re-ignites our inner joy. I knew I needed more of this in my life, and wanted to bring others to this state of joyous well-being through high energy dance as spiritual practice.
